In a dramatic turn of events, the Maharashtra Police's chargesheet has unveiled a chilling conspiracy orchestrated by jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi to assassinate Bollywood actor Salman Khan. The chargesheet, which details the intricate plot and its connections to Bishnoi, claims that a ₹25 lakh contract was issued for the assassination.

On April 14, two men allegedly linked to Bishnoi fired shots outside Salman Khan's Bandra residence. Following the incident, multiple arrests were made, and the charges now include conspiracy to murder and other serious offences.

Contract and Weapons from Pakistan

The investigation reveals that the murder plot was conceived over several months, from August 2023 to April 2024. The Bishnoi gang's plan involved acquiring advanced firearms from Pakistan, including AK-47s, AK-92s, M16 rifles, and Turkish-made Zigana pistols. Notably, the Zigana pistol was previously used in the 2022 murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, allegedly by the same gang.

Surveillance and Plot Details

The chargesheet also highlights an elaborate surveillance operation to track Salman Khan's movements. At least 60 to 70 individuals monitored the actor at his Mumbai residence, Panvel farmhouse, and Goregaon Film City. Minors, reportedly under the orders of Goldy Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi's brother Anmol, were used to surveil Khan's residence. The gang communicated through a WhatsApp group with 15-16 members, including Goldy Brar and Anmol.

Audio recordings recovered from an arrested suspect matched the voice of Anmol Bishnoi, confirming his involvement. The recordings, sent for forensic verification, suggest Anmol played a pivotal role in motivating the shooters. After receiving a weapons delivery in Panvel on March 15, 2024, Anmol provided detailed instructions for the attack.
